Fiddlesticks

Well, haven't had the best of weeks, really.

Got pulled over on Thursday and got a ticket. The plus side is that he didn't give the $200 speeding ticket that I should have got, only a much less ticket.

Found out today that I have a stress fracture in my foot. So now I have to wear a surgical boot for about 6 to 8 weeks. Which means that I can't work catering even though there is a lot of work coming up. They'd starve to death if they had to wait for me to serve their food. So it looks like I'm gimpy for awhile. Been walking on it for a week and last night I thought that I was going to die...it hurt so bad that I was crying. But the podiatrist was a really nice lady.

We had a bit of an incident of the library...ok a VERY bad thing happened...not so good. Poor girl. And I do feel sorry the guy too. He didn't exactly have the best of a family life.

They raised our mortgage again. But I think that I've given up on stressing about that. There's not much I can do. We tried to refinance but because we were late on mortgage payments and the economy being so low, well let's just say we are too high of a risk.

But, on the bright side, I still have my babies. One that at the moment is running back and forth behind me and talking to me. Babbling really, but she keeps yelling "Joe!" and muttering some other stuff. And she keeps calling me "Babe" which is just silly. Milo I think has realized that I am hurt and is being a big sweetie. He hasn't even bit me for a couple days. Junie is just being his cute self and posing as usual. He's staring at me at the moment.

O__O woo.. im sorry to hear that you're gimpy for a while. how did that happen? and if possible, we need to start emailing again. we have alot to catch up on and i miss you like crazy ;_:.

I'm not entirely sure. We went for a exercise walk on Monday, just like normal. Then Tuesday morning it started hurting & by Tuesday afternoon I was icing it. Yeah, I know, I walked around for almost a week with a fracture...my never having broken a bone is now broken. At least it'll make me slow down a little.

Dang, that must have been some power walk. I hope insurance paid for most of it.
I've been trying to jog more, and it kinda makes my knees sore, but not that sore. At least, not yet. I guess you have to walk carefully.

The girl you're talking about...is that the one who was sent to the hospital? I don't really know much about the story so I can't say much about it nor the guy. I'm sorry to hear about your foot. That just stinks. How do you get a stress fracture? I'll take a wild guess...too much stress on the foot? You do work a lot after all. My bird is driving me nuts! He can get so noisy even if he's had plenty of attention all day. Gahhh...Jerkamo is his new name. He's still cool just loud. I've never been pulled over before. Must be pretty scary. I think I'd cry if that ever happened to me.

It's been FOREVER since I last spoke to you. I miss you! Sorry, I'm hardly ever on DA anymore =\ I'm an Art Student but not too big on the drawing stuff. I will probably submit some of my stuff. =) I finally have a scanner! WAHHOOO!

The one that was attacked in front of the library is the one I mean. Yeah, she's still in the hospital.

A stress fracture is pretty much that...to much stress on the bone I guess. Wrong shoes prolly.

Sorry about the bird. Milo is the same way. They like to scream just for the heck of it actually. Cockatoos are known for the vocals. But trying to get him to be quite makes it worse. The whole positive or negative reinforcement. They see all attention as good either way. So, if you get mad at him for screaming, he sees it as a way to get more attention, and will keep doing it. I learned that one a little too late, it is hard to undo.
