So to repost my resolutions for 2009, just so I remember them:

My goals for the new year:
1. Finally finish filing all of my paper in my study. (Both studies really)
2. Finish more of my to-read list.
3. Do more puzzles...I just love jigsaw puzzles.
4. Really keep a written journal this year, not a once or twice a year one...but a daily.
5. Reconnect with some lost relationships.
6. Could stand to lose a few pounds and get into better shape.
7. Last but not least, get more a backbone with dealing with people. Not to be afraid when I have to actually deal with a live person...insurance, mortgage, etc.

Well, our vacation to Trinidad was wonderful. There is a lot to be said for visiting so far from home...no one can contact you. It's liberating when no one can call/email/junk mail you. The beaches were wonderful, the people were interesting. Lots of good food. It was very simplistic, not a whole lot to weigh one down. It was a good vacation. Except for us getting sick. I'm still sick and had to call out of work on Monday and Tuesday. I went today because I was getting cabin fever being at home doing nothing. And also when we got home, and missed our flight from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa, and spent half the day at the airport, and then had to drive for 3 hours to get home...that sucked completely. But we are safely home, and the birds are well, and I got a nice tan.
